Lahti City Museum is a regional museum that operates in the entire Päijät-Häme region. We offer guidance and help develop local museums in the region, have expertise in public art and provide renovation advice to building owners. In addition, as public authorities, we are engaged in land use planning and construction projects in matters involving the protection of archaeological and built cultural heritage.
Museums with regional responsibility provide advice on matters related to museum collections and preservation of the cultural heritage, art as well as the management of the building heritage, the renovation of historic buildings, archaeological sites, archaeological finds and protection of the cultural environment.
